PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Young Chances Foundation (YCF) will host a Community Impact Walk on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, bringing residents, business owners, service providers, and local leaders together to share resources and identify neighborhood priorities.
Starting at 4:00 p.m. at YCF CEC, 2703 Tasker Street, the route will move through the 1500–1600 block of LeCount Street and the 1400–1600 block of Etting Street, concluding at the Tynirah Borum Community Welcome Garden at Etting and Tasker Streets. Organizers plan brief stops along the way to facilitate conversations, on-the-spot referrals, and connections between community members and organizations.
“This walk isn’t just about awareness—it’s about action,” said Tyrique Glasgow, Founder and CEO of YCF. “We’re creating a space where people can see that real change begins when neighbors, businesses, and organizations walk together.”
Justin Brown, Founder of JB Sports Ventures, said the collaboration reflects a shared focus on neighborhood investment. “Supporting YCF’s mission means standing with those who are doing the work every day to uplift their blocks and build sustainable change,” he said.
The event will highlight public safety, health care access, and basic-needs services, while giving residents and businesses a forum to surface concerns and gaps. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing; organizations may bring informational materials. To RSVP, email youngchancesfoundation@gmail.com.
