Xfinity Bets on Simpler TV Pricing as Bundles Promise Big Monthly Savings

Comcast

PHILADELPHIA, PAComcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA) is rolling out new national Xfinity TV plans with all-in pricing, aiming to strip away complexity and undercut rivals as consumers grow more price-sensitive and skeptical of hidden fees.

The new video packages, available to both new and existing customers, include Xfinity’s X1 4K TV box and voice remote at no extra cost. Comcast said the plans are designed to offer clear, upfront pricing while bundling advanced features such as Multiview, Enhanced 4K, Fan View, and StreamStore directly into the base package.

The company said customers who combine Xfinity TV with its Internet and mobile services can save more than $70 per month for a year compared with comparable offerings from AT&T and Verizon. The move follows Comcast’s broader strategy of simplifying its consumer offerings amid intensifying competition from wireless providers and streaming-first alternatives.

Steve Croney, Comcast’s chief operating officer and incoming chief executive officer of connectivity and platforms, said the company has reworked its video packages to mirror recent changes to Xfinity Internet, focusing on transparency, flexibility, and bundled value. He said combining video with Internet and mobile creates additional savings opportunities, particularly through packages such as Xfinity StreamSaver.

Under the new structure, each Xfinity TV plan carries a single, all-in monthly price with major fees included and no contracts required. Customers who bundle video with Xfinity Internet receive an additional $10 monthly discount. The most popular plans now include 300 hours of DVR storage, and customers can access their channels both at home and on the go through the Xfinity Stream app across platforms such as Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, iOS, Android, and Xumo TV.

The new video plans build on earlier changes to Xfinity’s Internet portfolio. Earlier this year, Comcast introduced national Internet packages with all-in pricing, unlimited data, and a five-year price guarantee, along with an upgraded WiFi gateway included at no additional cost. The company has also promoted Xfinity StreamSaver, a discounted bundle of Netflix, Apple TV+, and Peacock, as a way to reduce streaming costs by more than 40 percent.

Taken together, the updates signal Comcast’s push to defend its broadband and pay-TV base by emphasizing simplicity, premium features, and bundled savings as consumer expectations around pricing transparency continue to rise.
