BUCKS AND MONTGOMERY COUNTIES, PA — PECO Energy has announced utility construction work on two state highways in Bucks and Montgomery counties, which will require temporary road closures and detours in affected areas.
Bucks County
From Monday, June 23, through Friday, August 29, Lindenhurst Road will be closed on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The closure affects the stretch between Route 332 (Newtown Bypass) and Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road) in Lower Makefield and Newtown townships. A posted detour will redirect traffic to Route 332, Durham Road, and Route 532.
Montgomery County
From Monday, June 23, through Monday, June 30, King Street will be closed on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The closure spans between Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and Manatawny Street in Pottstown Borough. Motorists will follow a detour using Berks Street, Route 663 (High Street), and Manatawny Street.
PennDOT has confirmed that local access will be maintained throughout the construction period. Delays are expected, and motorists are advised to allow extra travel time while driving near these work zones. All projects are weather dependent, and schedules may be adjusted accordingly.
PECO Energy is conducting this utility upgrade under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. These efforts are part of ongoing infrastructure improvements to enhance utility service reliability in the region. Drivers are urged to remain cautious and follow detour signage for their safety and that of construction crews.
