NEW HOPE, PA — Fresh off national recognition as one of America’s best Christmas towns, New Hope is extending its month-long holiday celebration with a packed schedule of events and a major incentive for visitors: free parking on select days throughout December.

The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce announced that the town’s popular Holiday Parade will return on Sunday, December 7, at 4 p.m., following a record-breaking tree lighting outside the Logan Inn. The parade will start at New Hope-Solebury High School and move down Bridge Street and South Main Street, featuring floats, marching units, local organizations, and seasonal performers including bagpipers, Mummers, fire companies, and Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Chamber President Michael Sklar said the parade remains one of the borough’s most cherished traditions. “Each year, the Holiday Parade adds to why New Hope is such a special place,” he said. “We’re excited to continue the holiday season with a celebration that brings joy to our entire community.”

New Hope’s seasonal momentum follows recent accolades from Country Living Magazine, Good Morning America, and USA Today, all highlighting the borough’s festive atmosphere, walkable downtown, and thriving small-business scene.

To support holiday shopping and dining, New Hope Borough will waive parking fees in all Borough-managed spaces from December 22 to 25 and again from December 29 to January 1. The initiative is designed to boost foot traffic during the busiest retail stretch of the year. Borough-managed lots connected to kiosk and ParkMobile systems are included, while private lots will continue to set their own rates.

Sklar said the free-parking window is meant to give visitors a stress-free way to explore the riverfront town. “New Hope is known for a lot of things, great food, great views, great shopping and parking tickets,” he said. “So this year, we’re giving visitors something truly magical: free parking.”

Holiday itineraries, event guides, and shopping spotlights will be shared throughout the month by Visit New Hope and the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce to help residents and tourists make the most of the season.
