PHILADELPHIA, PA — Detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting that left a teenager wounded early Monday morning.
Authorities said the incident occurred on September 1, 2025, at approximately 1:22 a.m., when 15th District officers responded to a 911 call reporting a person with a gun at 1529 Adams Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male suffering from a single gunshot wound to his back. The victim was transported for treatment and later listed in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a Black male with short black hair and a medium brown complexion, wearing a white T-shirt, light blue jeans, and white sneakers.
Police have released video of the suspect and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Individuals with tips are encouraged to contact the Shooting Investigations Group at 215-686-8270 or 215-686-8271, referencing case number DC 25-15-080777.
Authorities emphasize that this investigation is ongoing, and any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
