PHILADELPHIA, PA — Long after most brunch tables have been wiped down and chairs flipped upside down, WineDive Rittenhouse is just getting started.
The 30-seat, walk-in-only wine bar has launched a late-night industry brunch, flipping the traditional script by serving brunch classics on Sunday and Monday nights from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. The concept is aimed squarely at hospitality workers finishing late shifts, as well as night owls drawn to Philadelphia’s after-hours food scene.
“We’re doing this for the love of our community,” said Chris Fetfatzes of WineDive, saying that since opening in early November the bar has become a regular post-shift stop for staff from neighboring restaurants including Oyster House, Uchi, and Dancerobot. “A lot of them join us after work fairly regularly.”
Partner Susan Freeman said the offering is deliberately designed for stamina as much as appetite. “This brunch is built for industry pros and those who can hang,” she said.
The late-night menu leans playful and indulgent. Dishes include a Half Monte with ham and cheddar tucked into potato bread French toast with orange marmalade and powdered sugar; a Funyun omelette finished with sharp cheddar, chives, and a Funyun crumble; and a Belgian waffle served with whipped honey butter and maple syrup, with an optional à la mode upgrade.
The drink lineup features a curated selection of wines and brunch-ready cocktails built around freshly squeezed, aerated orange juice. Offerings include mimosas, screwdrivers, Garibaldis, and tequila sunrises.
The late-night brunch is available for walk-ins only every Sunday and Monday night from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
WineDive is open seven days a week from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., with plans to expand earlier weekend hours in the near future. More information is available at http://winedive.com.
