PHILADELPHIA, PA — For the first time in more than a decade, Wheel of Fortune is bringing its live contestant search back to Philadelphia, offering fans the chance to audition in person for a spot on the iconic game show.
Producers will host the casting event at The Event Center at Rivers Philadelphia on Thursday, September 18, and Friday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Doors open at 10 a.m., and admission is free. The event is open to adults 21 and older.
Bellamie Blackstone, executive producer of Wheel of Fortune, said the show is eager to connect with fans in the region. “The Wheel of Fortune fan base in and around Philadelphia is incredible, and we’re excited to tap into that passion to find future contestants,” Blackstone said. “We hope the fans bring some of that famous Philly spirit to the event so we can welcome those loyal Wheel Watchers in our studio to spin the Wheel!”
Attendees will meet with producers, demonstrate their skills, and compete for the chance to appear on the show. Participants will also have the opportunity to win prizes at the event.
Scott Lokke, general manager of Rivers Philadelphia, called it a unique opportunity for local fans. “Now fans will have the chance to go from their living rooms to the Los Angeles studio to spin that famous wheel and win cash and prizes,” he said.
Parking at Rivers Philadelphia is free, and a shuttle will run throughout the day between the main entrance and Riversuites at The Battery, the casino’s nearby boutique hotel.
The Philadelphia stop is one of only a handful of live casting events Wheel of Fortune is hosting nationwide for its upcoming season, making it a rare chance for fans to step into the spotlight.
