Weekend Closure Planned for Route 30 and Route 222 Bridge in Lancaster County

Traffic Advisory

LANCASTER, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that Route 30 and the bridge carrying Route 222 over Route 30 will close the weekend of October 10-13 in Lancaster County as part of the ongoing Route 30/Route 222 Interchange Improvement Project.

The closure, scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM Friday, October 10, and end at 5:00 AM Monday, October 13, will allow crews to demolish the old bridge that carried eastbound Route 30 to northbound Route 222. Detours will be in place, and motorists should expect congestion and delays. A backup weekend is planned for October 17-20 if needed.
