KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Vertex Inc. (NASDAQ: VERX) unveiled a new AI-driven tax automation tool now available in the Microsoft Marketplace, giving Microsoft Dynamics 365 customers an integrated way to streamline tax configuration, stay compliant and adapt quickly as their operations expand.
The new Vertex Configuration Agent for Microsoft Dynamics 365 uses Vertex AI to automatically detect updates across business systems — such as new entities, registrations or locations — and apply the necessary tax configuration changes before issues surface. The company says the technology reduces manual workload, speeds implementation and ensures tax setups remain accurate across global operations.
The launch grants Microsoft customers direct access to Vertex’s trusted tax solutions through the Marketplace, with unified integration across Azure and the broader Microsoft ecosystem.
“Launching the Vertex tax agent in the Microsoft Marketplace marks a significant milestone in our mission to simplify tax complexity through intelligent automation,” said Bradd Wildstein, vice president of partner sales at Vertex. He said the collaboration empowers organizations to improve compliance, streamline processes and boost operational efficiency.
Microsoft welcomed the addition as part of its expanding cloud and AI ecosystem. “Marketplace helps organizations and partners move faster, work smarter, and grow by connecting them with the right solutions,” said Cyril Belikoff, Microsoft’s vice president of Azure product marketing.
The Marketplace offers a centralized platform where businesses can find, try and buy cloud software, AI applications and automation agents tailored to their needs, with deployment options both in-platform and within Microsoft products.
Vertex said its new configuration agent extends intelligent automation deeper into tax workflows for Microsoft Dynamics 365 users, offering a more precise and proactive approach to managing increasingly complex tax environments.
