HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — PECO Energy has announced upcoming utility construction projects that will result in weekday road closures on key stretches in both Delaware and Montgomery counties.
In Delaware County, Coopertown Road in Haverford Township will be closed between College Avenue and Blakely Road from Monday, August 11, through Friday, October 31, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. A posted detour will guide motorists via Coopertown Road, Darby Road, and College Avenue.
In Montgomery County, Morris Avenue in Lower Merion Township will be closed between John Barry Drive and Harriton Road from Tuesday, July 29, through Monday, September 29, also from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays. Drivers will be redirected to use Harriton Road, Roberts Road, Old Gulph Road, and Spring Mill Road.
Local access will be maintained in both areas, but PennDOT is urging motorists to plan accordingly, as traffic delays and congestion are expected. All construction activities are subject to weather conditions.
