WILMINGTON, DE — Uplynk, Inc. has officially transitioned to a private company wholly owned by Lynrock Lake Master Fund LP, marking a pivotal moment for the video streaming technology provider as it embarks on an independent growth trajectory.
The move follows the completion of Edgio, Inc.’s restructuring process and positions Uplynk under new ownership and strategic leadership. With Eric Black at the helm as CEO, Uplynk plans to sharpen its focus on innovation and expand its platform capabilities to better serve its global customer base.
“As a standalone, private company with Lynrock’s strategic backing, we’re in a strong position to invest in our platform and accelerate growth,” said Eric Black, CEO of Uplynk. “We have the flexibility to move faster, focus on what matters, and better serve our customers.”
Cynthia Paul, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Lynrock Lake LP and now Chairperson of Uplynk’s new board of directors, emphasized the significance of the transition. “This significant milestone marks the successful completion of Edgio, Inc.’s restructuring process and a new beginning for Uplynk,” Paul stated. “We’re grateful to Uplynk’s employees, customers, partners, and stakeholders for their commitment and collaboration throughout this transition. We are excited to partner with the Uplynk team to accelerate innovation, deepen customer relationships, and drive sustainable, profitable growth.”
Uplynk, known for its robust video delivery solutions, aims to leverage this new phase to advance its technology roadmap, strengthen customer partnerships, and pursue long-term profitability. The company’s shift to private ownership gives it increased agility to adapt quickly to industry demands and invest strategically without the constraints often associated with public markets.
With Lynrock Lake’s financial support and strategic guidance, Uplynk is poised to emerge as a more focused and resilient player in the competitive streaming technology sector.
