BLUE BELL, PA — Unisys (NYSE: UIS) said it has expanded its Device Subscription Service in collaboration with Dell Technologies to support device management across enterprise, edge computing and internet-connected systems.
The company said the service builds on a partnership between Unisys and Dell that spans more than 30 years and is designed to manage the full lifecycle of devices used in corporate and distributed environments.
According to Unisys, the service can support devices beyond traditional personal computers, including specialized equipment used in sectors such as restaurants, parking systems and university campuses.
The updated offering includes automated support tools, endpoint security features, infrastructure procurement options and analytics capabilities designed to monitor device performance and usage.
The company said the service also provides organizations the option to combine Dell infrastructure with Unisys-managed digital workplace services within a single deployment framework.
“By joining forces with Dell, we are able to better support organizations with distinctive features such as utility-based modeling, enabling subsidiaries of any size to benefit from consistent pricing and operational efficiencies,” said Patrycja Sobera, senior vice president and general manager of digital workplace solutions at Unisys.
Unisys said the service uses a consumption-based pricing model that can scale across multinational organizations and includes managed detection and response capabilities intended to improve visibility and security across distributed devices.
The companies also developed a joint responsibility framework to define deployment and operational roles as part of the expanded service.
Unisys said its technical teams and Dell personnel also conduct workshops with customers to help organizations assess equipment needs and plan device deployments across distributed operations.
