FALLS TWP, PA — Drivers in lower Bucks County should plan for midday slowdowns next week as PennDOT schedules overhead concrete removal along a busy stretch of southbound U.S. 1 in Falls Township.
The work is set for Wednesday, December 17, and will require a lane closure from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on southbound U.S. 1 approaching the Route 32 (Bridge Street) overpass, PennDOT said. The operation is weather dependent, but officials warned that backups and delays are likely during the closure.
PennDOT urged motorists to reduce speeds, stay alert for crews, and allow extra travel time while the concrete removal is underway.
To avoid unexpected congestion and find alternate routes in real time, drivers are encouraged to check conditions before heading out at the MyChesCo Traffic Center.
