LANSDALE, PA — True Movement Tech announced the appointment of Stephen Cook as managing director of Mancino Mats, a safety padding manufacturer the company acquired.
Cook will oversee operations and growth initiatives for Mancino Mats, which produces padding used in athletic facilities and related environments, the company said.
Mancino Mats has operated in the safety padding industry for more than 60 years and recently expanded its business following its acquisition by True Movement Tech.
The company said the expansion includes efforts to grow operations on the West Coast and enter related markets such as trampoline parks, active play parks, and adventure centers.
Cook previously served as director of sales and marketing at AAI/Spalding, where he was involved in worldwide sales of gymnastics, cheerleading, and physical education equipment.
True Movement Tech President Joe Gram said Cook has advised the company since its founding.
“Steve has been a personal trusted advisor and mentor since our founding,” Gram said. “To have him helping us lead and grow one of the largest U.S.-based safety padding plants in the United States is beyond amazing.”
According to the company, Cook brings experience in corporate management and sports equipment manufacturing as the company seeks to expand Mancino Mats’ operations.
