HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that tree removal operations will require a temporary closure of Marple Road in Delaware County later this month.
On Thursday, August 28, Marple Road will be closed from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Darby Creek Road and Darby Road. A posted detour will direct motorists along Darby Road, Route 320 (Sproul Road), and back to Marple Road.
Local access will be maintained during the closure. PennDOT advises motorists to allow extra travel time, as backups and delays are expected in the area. All work is weather dependent.
