BALA CYNWYD, PA — Terramed Real Estate Solutions announced it has acquired the Palm Beach Equine Clinic in Wellington, Florida, for $9.27 million, expanding its portfolio of specialized healthcare real estate focused on veterinary facilities.
The company said the property includes a three-building complex totaling 15,719 square feet on 1.4 acres, located about 10 miles southwest of Palm Beach International Airport and near major equestrian venues.
Terramed said the acquisition marks its fifth veterinary property focused on equine care and reflects its strategy to invest in facilities tied to established operators in equestrian markets.
The clinic is situated near Wellington International, which hosts the Winter Equestrian Festival and Global Dressage Festival, as well as the National Polo Center, home to the U.S. Open Polo Championship.
Chief Executive Officer Daniel Eisenstadt said the location supports consistent demand for advanced veterinary services.
“The concentration of elite horses, riders, and events drives year-round demand for advanced veterinary care, and this property sits at the heart of it,” Eisenstadt said.
Terramed said the facility includes a surgical center, MRI and CT imaging, nuclear scintigraphy, laboratory and pharmacy services, more than 20 recovery stalls, and a U.S. Department of Agriculture-approved isolation unit.
The property is designed to accommodate large trucks and horse trailers, which are standard for equine operations.
Palm Beach Equine Clinic was founded in 1981 by Dr. Paul Wollenman and is led by President Dr. Scott Swerdlin, according to the company.
The clinic employs more than 35 veterinarians and provides services including emergency care, surgery, diagnostic imaging, dentistry, podiatry, radiology, sports medicine, regenerative medicine, and reproduction.
Terramed said Wellington is considered a major equestrian hub in the United States, attracting participants in show jumping, dressage, polo, racing, and other disciplines.
The company said it now owns and manages more than 1.7 million square feet of healthcare real estate nationwide, with recent acquisitions in Appleton, Wisconsin; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and Tacoma, Washington.
