BALA CYNWYD, PA — Terramed Real Estate Solutions said it has acquired BluePearl Pet Hospital Fox Valley in Appleton, Wisconsin, for $7.11 million, expanding its portfolio of specialty medical properties.
The 32,232-square-foot facility operates as a 24-hour emergency, specialty and urgent care veterinary hospital, and the transaction included renegotiation of a new 10-year lease, according to the company.
Terramed said the hospital is the only 24-hour veterinary facility in East Central Wisconsin, with the nearest comparable hospital located more than 100 miles away.
Daniel Eisenstadt, chief executive officer of Terramed, said the property plays a central role in regional animal care delivery.
“When a 24-hour specialty hospital is the only option for a large area, the building itself becomes part of care delivery,” Eisenstadt said. “Our job is to keep BluePearl Pet Hospital Fox Valley positioned to succeed year after year so the clinical team and referring veterinarians can rely on the facility for consistent operations.”
The hospital is located near Interstate 41 in Appleton. The city has grown by approximately 11% over the past 15 years and is experiencing continued commercial development, the company said.
BluePearl’s team includes 20 veterinarians providing orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, oncology and medical imaging. The hospital maintains a referral network of more than 240 veterinarians across Wisconsin and northern Michigan.
Terramed said the Appleton property is now the fourth-largest asset in its portfolio by square footage. The company holds nearly 2 million square feet of medical real estate nationwide, focused on veterinary, ophthalmology and fertility properties.
