NEW CASTLE, DE — StorPool Storage said it has launched StorPool One, a KVM-based cloud platform designed to provide integrated virtualization and data storage capabilities while reducing infrastructure costs.

The company said the platform combines a Linux KVM hypervisor, operating system, cloud management platform, software-defined storage, and software-defined networking into a single system delivered and supported by one vendor.

StorPool said the product is aimed at organizations reevaluating virtualization strategies and seeking alternatives to existing on-premises and cloud environments, including VMware and bare-metal systems.

According to the company, StorPool One is designed to deliver low-latency performance and high availability, along with features such as automated backups and disaster recovery capabilities.

StorPool said the platform is built on its existing storage technology and is intended to support enterprise workloads with integrated management and support services.

Richard Zhao, chief operating officer at NSFOCUS, said the platform reduced operational overhead and improved storage performance compared with previous systems.

“Migrating to StorPool One significantly reduced our operational overhead, allowing staff to focus more on running applications and less on managing and maintaining the hypervisor layer,” Zhao said.

The company said customers receive support across deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management as part of the offering.
