HAVERFORD TWP, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania announced that utility construction will require a long-term closure of Steel Road in Haverford Township, Delaware County, beginning Monday, October 6.
The closure will be in place on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Burmont Road and Drexel Avenue and is scheduled to continue through March 31, 2026. During this period, motorists will be directed to follow a detour using Burmont Road, U.S. 1 (Township Line Road), and Drexel Avenue.
Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses. PennDOT has advised drivers to expect delays and to allow extra travel time in the area. All scheduled work is weather dependent.
