Stateside Brands Launches Super Lyte Vodka-Based Ready-to-Drink Beverage

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Stateside Brands announced the launch of Super Lyte, a vodka-based ready-to-drink beverage inspired by sports drink flavors, the company said.

The beverage is non-carbonated and contains 4.5% alcohol by volume, 90 calories per can, and no sugar, according to the company.

Stateside Brands said the product will be sold in an eight-pack variety package that includes four flavors: Fruit Punch, Orange, Lemon Lime, and Blue Chill.

Chief Executive Officer Clement Pappas said the company developed the product as a new offering within the ready-to-drink alcohol category.

“Building on our success with Surfside, we are thrilled to introduce Super Lyte and lead the way for growth in this emerging segment within beverage alcohol,” Pappas said.

The company said Super Lyte will launch in more than 20 states across the East Coast and Midwest.

According to the company, the beverage will be available this spring at liquor stores, retailers, bars, restaurants, sports venues, and music venues.

Stateside Brands President and co-founder Matt Quigley said the company began developing the product more than two years ago after identifying a trend of consumers mixing sports drinks with vodka.

“We have been ideating and developing Super Lyte for over two years, after identifying a growing trend from consumers who enjoy mixing sports drinks with vodka,” Quigley said.

Stateside Brands said the suggested retail price for the variety eight-pack is $19.99.

The company also said Super Lyte will debut publicly on March 26 during the Philadelphia Phillies’ home opener at Citizens Bank Park as part of a partnership with the team.
