SOLEBURY, PA — Sproutr is expanding its footprint in the insurance program development space with the launch of Program Placement Services, a move the firm says will eliminate costly breakdowns between underwriting design and final carrier placement.
The Solebury-based company announced the new offering this week, positioning it as a full-lifecycle solution that guides insurance programs from initial underwriting architecture through carrier placement, contract negotiation, and market launch — all under one team.
The service is designed to address what Sproutr calls a persistent industry friction point: the disconnect that often occurs when separate entities handle program design and carrier placement. That split, the company said, can lead to lost context, carrier pushback, redesigns, launch delays, and weakened confidence in the market.
“We’ve had too many MGAs and MGUs approach us because they’ve lost momentum at the placement stage,” said JoAnne Artesani, founder and chief executive officer of Sproutr. She said carriers frequently raise concerns during placement that could have been addressed earlier in the design phase, triggering revisions and delaying launch timelines. By keeping design and placement under the same architects, she said, the firm aims to close that gap.
Sproutr’s Program Placement Services include carrier advocacy and introductions for existing design clients, strategic pairing of managing general agents and underwriters with appropriate carriers, contract negotiation support, and hands-on facilitation through the first 90 days after launch.
Ed Skoch, Sproutr’s director of programs and placements, said the firm is building what he described as a “gold standard” for carrier submissions. With decades of experience on the carrier side, he said the goal is to present submissions in a format and structure carriers expect, allowing them to move more quickly toward decisions.
By integrating underwriting design and placement strategy, Sproutr said it aims to help insurance programs reach market faster and with greater stability, reducing the risk of costly setbacks during a critical stage of development.
