LANCASTER, PA — Sight & Sound is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its landmark production NOAH by partnering with Fathom Entertainment to bring the show to theaters across the country for a special one-week engagement beginning September 18.

The event, titled Sight & Sound Presents: NOAH—Live!, was filmed before a live audience at the company’s Lancaster stage and offers viewers a cinematic experience of its flagship production. The story follows Noah’s biblical call to build an ark in the face of a devastating flood, exploring themes of faith, obedience, and perseverance in uncertain times.

“This production broke all the rules of traditional theater and helped us discover our calling to bring the Bible to life on stage,” said Matt Neff, CEO of Sight & Sound. He noted that NOAH continues to inspire audiences decades after its debut, calling the theatrical release a milestone opportunity to share the production more broadly.

Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Entertainment, echoed that sentiment, emphasizing the enduring popularity of the show. “Millions of fans have enjoyed the timeless NOAH over the years, and this special Fathom theatrical engagement will bring the story to countless new fans, young and old alike,” Nutt said.

Since its original debut in 1995, nearly five million people have attended NOAH on stage. While the central message of salvation remains the same, the production has been updated with new technology, enhanced storytelling, and expanded musical elements. “When we decided to return NOAH to the stage, we focused on building upon the show’s legacy while enhancing the audience’s experience,” said Executive Producer Ryan Miller.

The theatrical release will feature extensive multi-camera coverage, offering perspectives from the audience, stage, and behind the scenes. Moviegoers will also see exclusive bonus content, including introductions to Sight & Sound’s well-known animal actors.

Katie Miller, Director of Brand Development, described the release as a full-circle moment. “There’s something extra special about taking the production that started it all into movie theaters nationwide,” she said.

The collaboration marks the sixth partnership between Sight & Sound and Fathom Entertainment. Previous projects include the 2022 holiday release I Heard the Bells, which secured the No. 2 spot at the box office on opening weekend, and a live broadcast of DANIEL over Labor Day weekend in 2024.
