PERKASIE, PA — Sentinel Water Solutions has accelerated safe water delivery for the Perkasie Regional Authority by rapidly deploying a fully integrated Mobicon GAC system, marking a significant milestone in proactive municipal water management.

Delivered pre-loaded and ready for operation, the temporary granular activated carbon (GAC) system enables the Authority to meet regulatory standards and safeguard public health months ahead of its permanent facility’s completion. The initiative minimizes downtime and disruption by allowing treatment operations to begin immediately while long-term infrastructure is still under construction.

The system includes four DESOTEC Mobicon vessels, each pre-filled with roughly 10,000 pounds of NSF-certified GAC designed to handle the full well flow of 530 gallons per minute. By mobilizing the units pre-loaded, Sentinel eliminated the need for onsite carbon handling—reducing truck traffic, construction activity, and environmental impact.

To ensure consistent water pressure and system reliability, Sentinel also supplied a new pressure-reducing valve and automated booster pump skid, fully integrated with Perkasie’s existing network.

“Perkasie’s decision to move forward with a temporary system concurrent with construction of their permanent facility demonstrates their commitment to providing high-quality service,” said Andrew Strassner, President of Sentinel Water Solutions. “Sentinel applauds their proactive approach to delivering safe water to customers.”

DESOTEC, Sentinel’s strategic partner, provided the Mobicon units and will support ongoing system operations through custom winterization and future GAC reactivation services. The collaboration highlights Sentinel’s growing role in helping municipalities deploy scalable, compliant, and environmentally responsible water treatment solutions.
