SEI Names Veteran Banker to Lead Asset Management Push Across Banks

SEI Investments Company

OAKS, PA — SEI (NASDAQ: SEIC) said Paul Lehman has joined the company as head of bank asset management distribution, a move aimed at deepening relationships with banks and expanding delivery of investment solutions as financial institutions rethink their wealth and trust strategies.

Lehman will report to Michael Lane, head of SEI’s asset management business. In the role, he will lead distribution strategy across national, regional, and community banks, affiliated wealth organizations, and independent trust companies, overseeing investment sales and partnership development.

SEI said Lehman will focus on strengthening ties with existing bank clients while extending the firm’s asset management capabilities to new bank and wealth partners. He will also work with investment product development teams and leaders across the enterprise to deliver coordinated solutions aligned with banks’ evolving business models and regulatory requirements.

Lane said banks are increasingly looking to differentiate their wealth and trust platforms while simplifying vendor relationships. He said SEI’s investment strategies, including public and private market solutions and outsourced and co-chief investment officer offerings, can be integrated within the firm’s technology platform to meet demand for more streamlined, comprehensive solutions.

Lehman said banks are reassessing how they deliver investment and wealth services in a more complex operating environment, adding that SEI’s reputation for innovation, partnership, and fiduciary discipline positions it well to support that shift.

Lehman brings more than 30 years of experience advising and leading bank trust and wealth organizations. Most recently, he served as head of the bank trust group at Dimensional Fund Advisors, where he led a national team supporting bank and trust company partners. Earlier, he held senior leadership roles at First Citizens Bank, including chief investment officer and head of capital management.
