CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Seagis Property Group is moving forward with vertical construction on a new industrial development in northern New Jersey, advancing a pre-leased warehouse project in one of the region’s most competitive logistics corridors.
The privately held real estate firm said construction is beginning on a 53,315-square-foot facility at 500 Belleville Turnpike in Kearny, a location valued for its proximity to the Port of New York and New Jersey and key interstate routes. The fully secured warehouse will feature 36-foot clear heights, seven dock doors, two drive-in doors, 55 surface parking spaces, and approximately 6,000 square feet of outdoor storage.
The project has already secured a national tenant during pre-development, reducing leasing risk and signaling continued demand for modern industrial space near major population and distribution centers. Omer Mir Ahmed of Seagis said the early lease commitment reflects both the strength of the location and close coordination with local stakeholders in North Arlington.
Construction is expected to be completed by the summer of 2026.
The Kearny development adds to Seagis’ growing portfolio of industrial assets across the Eastern Seaboard. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, the company owns and operates more than 13 million square feet of warehouse and logistics space across roughly 200 buildings in New Jersey, New York City, and South Florida.
As demand for last-mile and regional distribution space remains tight near major metro areas, Seagis continues to focus on acquiring and developing properties in global logistics hubs, targeting assets that serve both national users and supply-chain driven growth.
