KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Sagent, a fintech company modernizing the $14 trillion U.S. mortgage servicing industry, has announced the appointment of two senior executives to strengthen its leadership team. Art Calhoun has been named Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, while Kim Warnica joins as Vice President of Product Marketing. Both will play key roles in accelerating adoption of the company’s flagship platform, Dara by Sagent.
Sagent CEO Geno Paluso said the appointments come at a pivotal time as the company pushes forward with a phased rollout of Dara in 2025. “We need top talent to articulate Dara’s value and integrate all the best partners into our servicing systems of record,” Paluso stated. He emphasized Dara’s unique position as the industry’s only fully modern, end-to-end servicing platform capable of managing every mortgage servicing scenario at scale.
Driving Strategic Partnerships
Calhoun brings over 20 years of experience in mortgage servicing and operations. He joins Sagent from Wells Fargo, where he served as Executive Director of Vendor Oversight, managing contracts, vendor performance, and risk assessments. At Sagent, he will lead the company’s partner program, focusing on aligning integration roadmaps with customer needs and executing Dara’s open ecosystem vision.
Boosting Product Marketing
Warnica, who has held senior roles at Rocket Mortgage, Homepoint, and New American Funding, will oversee product marketing across Dara’s core, default, and consumer servicing platforms. Her focus will be on driving market share, educating existing clients on Dara’s capabilities, and positioning the platform to attract new customers.
Both executives will report to Perry Hilzendeger, Sagent’s Executive Vice President of Strategic Growth, who leads the company’s customer success and implementation teams.
With these appointments, Sagent is strengthening its competitive edge in the mortgage servicing space, aiming to solidify Dara’s role as the industry’s leading modern servicing solution.
