Route 741 Bridge Reopens Following Deck Repairs in Lancaster County

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)

LANCASTER, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that the Route 741 (Millersville Road) bridge spanning the Conestoga River in Lancaster County is now open to traffic after being closed for several months.

The bridge, located between Rice Road in Lancaster Township and the entrance to Circle M Campground in Pequea Township, had been closed since June to allow crews to complete deck repairs. With the work finished, the associated detour has been lifted.

This project is part of a broader bridge rehabilitation effort that includes concrete repairs to the substructure and superstructure, expansion dam replacements, a latex-modified concrete resurfacing of the deck, bridge barrier coating, guiderail upgrades, and other improvements.
