LANCASTER COUNTY, PA — Drivers crossing the Susquehanna River on the Route 30 (Wrights Ferry) Bridge should prepare for delays as PennDOT begins a series of daytime shoulder restrictions to accommodate repair work beneath the structure.

Weather permitting, crews will be on-site Tuesday, December 9, through Saturday, December 13, working daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During those hours, the right shoulder will be restricted in both directions, creating tighter travel conditions across one of the region’s most heavily used river crossings.

PennDOT is urging motorists to stay alert, obey posted work zone signage, and reduce speed for the safety of both workers and fellow travelers. The repairs will be performed by JD Eckman, Inc. of Atglen.

With shoulder closures expected to affect traffic flow throughout the week, drivers are encouraged to plan ahead.
