Robeson Township Seeks New Police Chief Amid Leadership Vacancy

BIRDSBORO, PA — Robeson Township in southern Berks County is seeking a full-time chief of police to lead and administer its police department, township officials announced.

According to the township, the position calls for professional leadership and oversight of department operations, including supervision of personnel, enforcement of laws and ordinances, development of policies, budgeting and community engagement.

The chief will be responsible for ensuring public safety services are delivered effectively and in accordance with Pennsylvania law.

Township officials said candidates must demonstrate leadership, integrity, communication skills and law enforcement management experience. Prior supervisory experience and appropriate Pennsylvania law enforcement certifications are required.

The position offers a competitive salary, according to the posting.
