MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced three state highways in Montgomery County will be closed next week to facilitate pipe replacement and base repair operations. The closures are set to take place during daytime hours, with detours in place to guide motorists around the work zones.
Key details about the closures and detours are as follows:
- Mill Road in Skippack Township
- Closed between Evansburg Road and Skippack Creek Road from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 3, for pipe replacement. Detoured traffic will be directed to Evansburg Road, Wayland Road, and Skippack Creek Road.
- Buchert Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township
- Closed between Pleasantview Road and the Mervine Street/Charlotte Street intersection from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 5, and Friday, June 6, for base repair. Detours will guide motorists along Pleasantview Road, Bleim Road, and Charlotte Street.
- Evansburg Road in Skippack Township
- Closed between Township Line Road and Meetinghouse Road/Thompson Road from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 5, and Friday, June 6, for pipe replacement. Traffic will be rerouted via Township Line Road, Creek Road, Bridge Road, Creamery Road, Collegeville Road, and Meetinghouse Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zones. PennDOT advises drivers to allow additional travel time when passing through or near these areas as significant delays and backups are anticipated. All activities are weather dependent and may be subject to rescheduling.
