PHILADELPHIA, PA — Reliance Matrix said it has promoted James Huebner to vice president of client management, placing him in charge of advancing the company’s enterprise-wide customer experience strategy across its national service and account management operations.
In the role, Huebner will oversee more than 150 team members nationwide, with responsibility for improving client satisfaction, strengthening relationships, and boosting retention through a more consistent, customer-focused service model. The company said the move reflects a broader investment in delivering a differentiated experience for brokers, employers, and employees.
“Jim has been instrumental in shaping how we engage with clients and partners,” said Todd Elliott, senior vice president and chief distribution officer. Elliott said Huebner’s understanding of the business and focus on service position him to lead the next phase of the company’s customer experience strategy.
Huebner first joined Reliance Matrix in 2001 as a senior sales representative in the New York City office. After leaving the company in 2008, he returned in 2015 as disability and absence practice leader for the Northeast region. During his tenure, he has been recognized as a member of the Reliance Matrix President’s Panel and received a global Tokio Marine award for values-based performance.
Reliance Matrix said Huebner brings decades of consultative experience and a track record of managing complex client relationships. Company leaders said his approach emphasizes accountability and trust at a time when the benefits and insurance industry is increasingly shaped by automation and speed.
“In an industry increasingly defined by technology, Jim has consistently championed human interaction and accountability,” Elliott said. “Those qualities are central to how we differentiate ourselves in the market.”
The company said Huebner’s promotion is aimed at aligning teams around a unified service vision as Reliance Matrix continues to scale its national platform.
