PHILADELPHIA, PA — SixDegrees.org, the nonprofit founded by Philadelphia-born actor Kevin Bacon, has partnered with six Philadelphia craft breweries to launch a collaborative beer, Six Degrees of Fermentation. This special brew, designed to celebrate collaboration and community, will debut at a public event hosted by Yards Brewing Company on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

The event will feature local nonprofits, trivia, live music, and a Kevin Bacon costume contest. Attendees who make a $6 suggested donation to SixDegrees.org will receive a commemorative gift sticker reading “What’s shakin’ Bacon.” Registration for the event is complimentary and open online.

“We’re extremely grateful to all our brewery partners for jumping in and running with this idea to turn it into something really special,” said Stacy Huston, Executive Director of SixDegrees.org. “Collaboration is at the heart of what we do at SixDegrees.org, and seeing how these breweries have joined forces to support our work in a way that is fun and uniquely Philly is a powerful testament to what we can do when we come together.”

The beer, a 4% dry-hopped Kölsch crafted through the partnership of Yards Brewing Company, Attic Brewing Co, Evil Genius Beer Company, Human Robot Brewery, Sacred Vice Brewing Company, and Wissahickon Brewing Company, will be available on tap and in six-packs at all participating breweries from May 28 through June 30. Each canned six-pack will feature collectible images of Kevin Bacon, with fans encouraged to visit all six breweries to complete their set.

Proceeds from the beer’s sales will benefit SixDegrees.org’s programs that focus on Youth Empowerment, Equality and Justice, Sustainable Living Environments, and responses to emerging crises. During the brewery’s six-month fundraising campaign leading up to this launch, each participating brewery spotlighted SixDegrees.org as their charity partner, donating portions of sales and hosting awareness activities.
