WILMINGTON, DE — Quavo, Inc. is set to debut new AI capabilities for its flagship dispute management platform, QFD®, at FinovateFall in New York City, promising faster, smarter, and more precise fraud investigations for financial institutions.
Built on more than six years of live production data from over 20 million real-world disputes, QFD® uses advanced automation to streamline the entire dispute process. The platform currently supports more than 50 issuers and processors, representing over 500 financial brands, enabling them to reduce manual work, speed up resolutions, and enhance the customer experience.
The latest upgrade introduces Advanced Intake Deflection and Investigation AI — tools designed to help issuers make high-impact decisions within the first 48 hours of a claim. This early window is critical in identifying and preventing friendly fraud, which can lead to significant financial losses if left unchecked.
Key features include automated detection of refunds to block invalid disputes, dynamic AI-driven questionnaires that adapt to customer responses, early identification of potential abuse by tracking repeat disputes with the same merchant, AI-guided investigation steps, and an 18-point fraud scoring system developed in partnership with eight issuers.
“The first two days after a fraud claim is submitted are make-or-break for issuers,” said David Chmielewski, Quavo’s CPO and co-founder. “QFD’s proven AI features give financial institutions the speed, accuracy, and intelligence they need to stop friendly fraud in its tracks, without sacrificing the accountholder relationship.”
Quavo’s competitive edge comes from its mature AI models, refined through years of dispute data and real-world application. The system is designed to be both immediately impactful and scalable, adapting to an institution’s current needs while preparing for future demands.
At FinovateFall, attendees will see a live demonstration of the new capabilities, offering a first-hand look at how QFD’s AI is reshaping dispute management in a fast-evolving financial environment.
