CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Quaker Houghton (NYSE: KWR) has announced two key leadership appointments to advance its enterprise growth strategy and strengthen its global innovation and operational capabilities.
Christine Johnson has joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer, while Dr. André Frodl, a 23-year veteran of Quaker Houghton, has been promoted to Vice President, R&D – Metals and Metalworking.
“I am thrilled to welcome Christine and congratulate André on his new role,” said Joe Berquist, Chief Executive Officer and President. “Their leadership will be vital as we advance our strategic priorities and continue delivering innovative solutions to our customers. Both bring extensive global experience and a proven track record of driving impactful results through strong leadership, technical expertise, and operational excellence.”
Johnson will lead the company’s transformation and process optimization initiatives, focused on unlocking organizational value and accelerating growth. She joins Quaker Houghton from McKinsey & Company, where she was a partner advising materials and energy companies on strategy, transformation, and operating model effectiveness. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles in digital marketing and communications at DuPont.
Frodl will oversee global research and development for Quaker Houghton’s metals and metalworking business, managing laboratory functions including product stewardship, fluid analysis, analytical chemistry, and raw material science. His appointment follows the retirement of Dr. Dave Slinkman, who concluded a distinguished career with the company.
During his two decades at Quaker Houghton, Frodl has led operating and advanced development labs across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and managed the company’s fluid analysis and innovation centers. Prior to his new role, he served as Director of Product Development for the EMEA region.
The appointments signal Quaker Houghton’s continued commitment to advancing innovation, operational excellence, and strategic execution as it strengthens its position as a global leader in industrial process fluids and chemical solutions.
