KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Premier Orthopaedics & Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center recognized National Doctors’ Day on March 30 by honoring physicians across its network for their contributions to patient care, the organization announced.

The observance highlights the role of physicians in delivering medical treatment and supporting patients across more than 40 communities in the Philadelphia region, where the organization operates.

The group said its physicians provide orthopaedic care while also guiding patients through complex medical decisions and working in settings that include sports teams and senior living facilities.

“National Doctors’ Day is about showing respect for the work doctors do,” said Christina Vannello, chief executive officer of Premier Orthopaedics & Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center.

National Doctors’ Day is observed annually on March 30 to recognize physicians in the United States. The day was first celebrated in 1933 and formally recognized in 1990, commemorating the first use of general anesthesia in surgery by Dr. Crawford W. Long in 1842.

Premier Orthopaedics & Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center provides orthopaedic services including treatment for bone, muscle, and joint conditions, as well as physical therapy, imaging, and urgent care at locations throughout the region.
