PHILADELPHIA, PA — The United States Postal Service will host a hiring fair in South Philadelphia as it looks to fill a range of indoor and outdoor positions offering federal pay, benefits, and long-term career opportunities.

The job fair is scheduled for Friday, February 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Postal Service’s district office at 3190 South 70th Street in Philadelphia, according to the agency.

USPS officials said the event is aimed at recruiting candidates for several roles, including automotive technicians, city carriers, rural carriers, and maintenance workers. Positions include both indoor and outdoor work, reflecting the breadth of operational needs across the postal network.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of appointment, or 16 years old with a high school diploma, to be eligible for hire. Postal Service representatives will be on hand to discuss job requirements, career paths, and the benefits associated with federal employment.

The Postal Service said it offers competitive wages, retirement plans, and health benefits as part of its broader effort to attract workers while modernizing operations under its long-term Delivering for America transformation plan.

USPS operates as an independent federal establishment and does not receive tax dollars for operating expenses, relying instead on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its nationwide delivery network serving more than 169 million addresses.
