MOUNT JOY TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced daytime lane restrictions on Route 283 in Lancaster County to accommodate scheduled bridge inspections.
Weather permitting, the inspections will take place on consecutive days. The Elizabethtown Road bridge, spanning Route 283 between Hershey Road and Cloverleaf Road, is set to be inspected on Tuesday, June 17. The Snyder Road bridge, located between Cloverleaf Road and Route 772, will undergo inspection on Wednesday, June 18.
Drivers can expect alternating left and right lane restrictions in both directions on Route 283 from 9 AM to 3 PM on both days while inspection crews are at work.
PennDOT has urged motorists traveling in the area to remain alert, obey all posted work zone signs, and exercise caution for the safety of road crews and other travelers.
