PHILADELPHIA, PA — Craftsman Row Saloon is kicking off the season with one of Philadelphia’s most elaborate holiday pop-ups as its Miracle on 8th Street installation returns—larger, brighter, and more immersive than any previous year. The Jeweler’s Row restaurant, widely recognized for transforming its dining room into a full-scale Christmas spectacle, has dramatically expanded its décor and seasonal offerings in a bid to draw even bigger crowds through the New Year.
Owners George and Vasiliki Tsiouris, the sibling duo behind the concept, said this year’s edition delivers a level of saturation and scale meant to stand out in a highly competitive holiday dining market. The restaurant is now open seven days a week, with extended seasonal hours to meet expected demand.
Inside, visitors will find more than 60,000 ornaments, tens of thousands of lights, thousands of feet of garland, and a growing collection of wreaths, nutcrackers, and themed installations. New centerpieces include an oversized ornament chandelier, a 70-foot train suspended above the bar, four-foot nutcrackers, and a Santa’s Letters mailbox filled with notes from children and adults. The exterior façade features a four-story synchronized light display designed to draw passersby from the surrounding blocks.
The pop-up also features an expanded lineup of holiday-themed cocktails, comfort-food menu items, and four over-the-top milkshakes—each styled to match the décor. Offerings range from peppermint martinis and gingerbread whiskey sours to seasonal burgers, wreath-style stromboli, holiday pasta dishes, and a Christmas-themed Cuban sandwich. The dessert menu anchors the holiday branding with milkshakes topped with cookies, candy canes, slices of pie, and other confections.
Restaurant leaders say the growing scale of the pop-up has become an essential part of the neighborhood’s holiday traffic. With Jeweler’s Row serving as both a business district and tourist corridor, operators expect the display to support foot traffic for nearby retailers while drawing regional visitors seeking seasonal experiences.
The Tsiouris family has gradually rebuilt and reimagined the 112 S. 8th Street space—formerly known as Coco’s—adding upgrades while retaining historical design elements. The saloon now blends its century-old roots with contemporary holiday theatrics, creating a venue that shifts from casual neighborhood bar to full sensory attraction during the peak season.
Miracle on 8th Street runs through January 31, with reservations available via OpenTable. Craftsman Row Saloon is now open daily for lunch and dinner, with kitchen hours extending until 11 p.m. on weekdays, midnight on weekends, and 10 p.m. on Sundays.
