Philly's Best Steak Company

YEADON, PAPhilly’s Best Steak Company is taking its signature cheesesteak cuts nationwide, announcing a major expansion into Restaurant Depot locations across the United States after a successful rollout on the East Coast and in the Midwest.

The move will more than triple the availability of Philly’s Best products, increasing distribution by roughly 300 percent and placing the company’s steak meats in more than 100 Restaurant Depot stores nationwide. As part of the expansion, Restaurant Depot will also carry a broader Philly’s Best product line, including additional beef and chicken offerings and new Halal options.

“For three decades the Philly’s Best family has taken tremendous pride in serving authentic Philly cheesesteaks to the region, and this collaboration will continue to build upon that ideal,” said Zafeiris Akranis, president of Philly’s Best Steak Co. “We are thrilled to work with Restaurant Depot to expand to new regions, bringing restaurants and suppliers the highest quality steak product, and introducing the cheesesteak to new audiences.”

Restaurant Depot is a leading wholesale, cash-and-carry foodservice supplier with more than 163 locations nationwide, serving independent restaurants, caterers, and food businesses as a low-cost sourcing alternative. Company officials said demand for authentic Philadelphia-style cheesesteaks has been rising well beyond the Mid-Atlantic.

“We’re proud to partner with Philly’s Best Steak to bring the true taste of Philadelphia cheesesteaks to foodservice operators around the country,” said Michael Mariani, vice president at Restaurant Depot. “Their commitment to quality and authenticity makes them the natural fit for the growing demand we see nationwide.”

The expansion follows a banner period for Philly’s Best Steak. The company was recently named the preferred steak of the Philadelphia Phillies, further cementing its status as a go-to supplier tied closely to the city’s food and sports culture.

Looking ahead, company officials said the national distribution push sets the stage for a major capacity expansion planned for 2026, when Philly’s Best Steak expects to open a new, state-of-the-art processing and distribution facility.

Founded in the Philadelphia region, Philly’s Best Steak Company has built its reputation supplying steak meat to restaurants and foodservice operators seeking an authentic cheesesteak experience. With the Restaurant Depot expansion, that experience is now poised to reach kitchens — and menus — across much of the country.
