Yards Brewing Company is debuting a one-of-a-kind commemorative lager crafted specifically for the 2026 Craft Brewers Conference, and for a limited time, the public can get in on the experience alongside thousands of industry insiders.
The beer—fittingly named “Of the Brewers. By the Brewers. For the Brewers.”—is more than just a new release. It’s a collaborative effort that brings together brewers, suppliers, and innovators from across the country, all converging in Philadelphia as the city celebrates America’s 250th anniversary.
A Beer Rooted in Craft and History
Brewed at Yards’ Northern Liberties facility, the 4.7% ABV pale lager is designed as a “SMaSH” beer—short for single malt and single hop—allowing each ingredient to shine. Using Spalter Select hops and Bestmalz Heidelberg Malt, the result is a clean, crisp, and approachable beer that highlights both craftsmanship and simplicity.
The beer’s concept ties directly to Philadelphia’s identity as the birthplace of American independence and a historic hub for brewing culture. From colonial taverns to today’s thriving craft scene, beer has long been part of the city’s story—and this release connects those past traditions to the modern industry.
A Citywide Celebration of Craft Brewing
The release coincides with the return of the Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America®, which will bring more than 10,000 brewing professionals to the Pennsylvania Convention Center from April 20 through April 22.
While conference attendees will receive a commemorative can during the event, Yards is making sure locals don’t miss out. The beer will be available on draft at the brewery’s taproom beginning the weekend before the conference, giving Philadelphia residents a rare chance to sample the same beer being shared on a national stage.
