PHILADELPHIA, PA — After a sold-out debut in the spring, Panda Fest is set to return to Dilworth Park for a second round of cultural celebration, food, and family-friendly entertainment. Scheduled for October 4–5, the fall edition promises a larger footprint, more vendors, and increased capacity to accommodate rising demand.
Organized by Xuan (BiuBiu) Xu, the inaugural Panda Fest drew thousands to Philadelphia’s City Hall in April, joining similar events in Atlanta, Boston, Seattle, and Minnesota. The overwhelming response has prompted a swift return to Philadelphia and Atlanta, with hopes of making the festival a bi-annual tradition.
The upcoming festival will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and until 8 p.m. on Sunday. Attendees can expect over 60 Asian food vendors offering more than 100 varieties of street food, along with cultural performances, games, raffles, and family-oriented activities. A 15-foot inflatable panda will once again welcome guests at the entrance.
Ticket sales open August 8. Early bird general admission tickets are $10 for the first 100 per time slot, with regular GA tickets priced at $14. VIP tickets, priced at $25, include additional merchandise and a fast-pass entrance. All guests receive two complimentary gifts, while children under five are admitted free.
Panda Fest is an extension of Dragon Fest, a nationwide platform that highlights Chinese cuisine, culture, and community through large-scale outdoor events. Together, the festivals have attracted more than 750,000 attendees since 2023.
Xu says the fall event will build on lessons learned from the spring. “We’re going to have more vendors and more food and drink options for the whole family,” she said, noting close coordination with city officials to expand the event’s capacity. “We couldn’t be more excited to return for another incredible weekend in The City of Brotherly Love.”
