Overnight Lane Closures Scheduled on U.S. 1 in Bucks County for Line Striping

Traffic Alert

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will implement overnight lane closures next week on U.S. 1 in Bensalem and Middletown townships as part of a $116 million reconstruction and widening project.

From Sunday, August 17, through Friday, August 22, lanes will be closed in both directions between Fairhill Avenue and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM for line striping.

The work is part of PennDOT’s U.S. 1/RC2 contract, which involves rebuilding and widening U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange. Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time. All work is weather dependent.
