BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming nighttime lane closures on U.S. 1 next week as part of a $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of the highway in Bensalem and Middletown townships.
From Monday, August 25, through Thursday, August 28, lane closures will be in effect nightly from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM in both directions between Fairhill Avenue and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange. Crews will perform bridge deck sealing, as well as install rumble strips and raised pavement markings.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra travel time when passing through the work zone. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
