PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that shoulder construction will require overnight lane closures on southbound I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia next week.
From Monday, September 15, through Friday, September 19, lanes will be closed between the Betsy Ross Bridge and Allegheny Avenue interchanges from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning. Drivers should expect delays and allow extra time when traveling through the area. All work is weather dependent.
This construction is part of PennDOT’s $355.3 million I-95/BR3 project, which is widening and rebuilding the northbound side of I-95 between Wheatsheaf Lane and just north of Margaret Street.
