BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Motorists in Bensalem and Lower Southampton townships should prepare for overnight detours this winter as PECO Energy begins extensive utility construction along Brownsville Road.
Starting Monday, December 1, and continuing through Friday, February 27, 2026, Brownsville Road will be closed weeknights from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM between Bristol Road and Knable Lane. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Elmwood Avenue, Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike), and Route 132 (Street Road). Local access will remain available.
PECO advises travelers to plan ahead and allow for additional travel time, as backups and delays are expected. All work is weather dependent.
