LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced scheduled lane closures next week on U.S. 422 in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, as part of a major reconstruction initiative.
From Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25, eastbound U.S. 422 will be reduced to a single lane between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) interchanges from 4:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning. During the same period, westbound traffic will be restricted to one lane between Sanatoga and Armand Hammer Boulevard from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The closures are necessary for ongoing construction under PennDOT’s $83.6 million project to rebuild and improve approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway, including the replacement of several bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road.
Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to allow extra travel time. All work is weather dependent.
