PHILADELPHIA, PA — Cybersecurity firm Outpost24 has launched a new free tool, the Outpost24 Credential Checker, aimed at giving organizations immediate visibility into leaked credentials tied to their email domains. The tool is designed to help businesses identify whether their login data has been exposed on the dark web—a common precursor to larger cyberattacks.
With the rising number of credential-based breaches, the tool offers a proactive step toward risk reduction. By entering a company-associated email address, users receive a report revealing if their domain appears in known data breach repositories. The report also outlines how many stolen credentials were found, which malware may have been responsible, and other relevant threat context.
“Our goal in offering our Outpost24 Credential Checker is to democratize threat intelligence and help everyone to be more secure,” said Alex Knol, Vice President of Development and AI Community Lead at Outpost24. “We’re offering a sneak peek into a small part of our threat intelligence knowledge base, but also making it accessible to everyone, especially those organizations with smaller budgets.”
The Credential Checker is built on the threat intelligence engine behind Outpost24’s CompassDRP platform. CompassDRP combines external attack surface management (EASM) with digital risk protection to track both known and unknown public-facing assets. It also scours the open, deep, and dark web for signs of compromise, delivering contextual intelligence that enables faster prioritization and remediation of threats.
By providing no-cost access to some of its cybersecurity capabilities, Outpost24 hopes to level the playing field for smaller enterprises and bolster global cyber hygiene. The move also reflects a broader industry trend of integrating real-time threat data with tools that are both accessible and actionable.
