Outpost24 Buys Infinipoint, Raising the Stakes in Zero Trust Security

Outpost24

STOCKHOLM, Sweden & PHILADELPHIA, PAOutpost24 said it has acquired Infinipoint, a specialist in device identity and posture validation, marking the company’s entry into the fast-growing Zero Trust Workforce Access market and expanding its identity security business under the Specops brand.

The deal reflects a shift in enterprise security priorities as organizations move beyond basic authentication toward a more comprehensive view of access risk. While multi-factor authentication and single sign-on confirm a user’s identity, they do not assess whether the device being used is secure. That gap has become increasingly problematic in hybrid workplaces that rely on a mix of corporate, personal, and unmanaged devices.

By combining Specops’ authentication capabilities with Infinipoint’s device-level intelligence, Outpost24 aims to deliver a unified approach that evaluates both the user and the device at the moment access is requested. The company said this model strengthens Zero Trust adoption by reducing credential misuse, limiting lateral movement inside networks, and improving regulatory compliance.

Infinipoint’s technology adds device identity, posture verification, and automated remediation, allowing organizations to enforce security standards without adding friction for employees or contractors. The combined platform is designed to work across different devices and identity providers, a key requirement for large, distributed workforces.

Outpost24 Chief Executive Officer Ido Erlichman said the acquisition establishes a new benchmark for workforce access security by ensuring that every access attempt is validated holistically. He said the move deepens the company’s identity security portfolio and supports its broader strategy of reducing risk throughout the access lifecycle.

Shirona Partem, managing director of Specops, said the addition strengthens support for both password-based and passwordless environments, giving customers greater confidence that access originates from a trusted user on a trusted device.

Infinipoint Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Ran Lampert said joining Outpost24 will allow the company’s device identity technology to reach a broader global audience, delivering what he described as the original promise of Zero Trust: secure, scalable access without sacrificing usability.

The acquisition signals continued consolidation in the cybersecurity sector as vendors race to address increasingly sophisticated access threats in hybrid and remote work environments.
