PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philly Pride 365 announced the return of OURfest: National Coming Out Day Festival, set for Sunday, October 12, 2025, from noon to 7 p.m. in the city’s Gayborhood. Now in its third year, the festival has become one of the world’s largest celebrations dedicated to National Coming Out Day.
This year’s theme, “Out Loud, Out Front: Power, Protection & Pride,” reflects the festival’s focus on visibility, resilience, and community care amid rising anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and cultural pushback nationwide. Organizers describe OURfest as both a celebration and a call to action, emphasizing that coming out remains a political act as well as a personal milestone.
The street festival will span 12th to 13th streets and Locust to Spruce, with live performances, drag shows, art installations, family-friendly programming, food trucks, vendors, and beer gardens. New additions for 2025 include a Soul Salon Stage featuring queer R&B artists, a “Sober Vibes” space, and a “Decompression Zone” designed for attendees seeking a quieter, more accessible environment.
Leading up to the main event, Philly Pride 365 will host a series of community programs, including an October 4 roundtable on health and rights, an October 7 poetry slam, a wellness marketplace on October 10, and a sex-positive event on October 11.
“Coming out in 2025 is still an act of resistance,” said Tyrell Brown, founder and executive director of Philly Pride 365. “We must show up for each other loudly, lead from the front, and take pride not just in who we are, but in how we care for and protect one another.”
Admission to OURfest is free, with activities for all ages. Organizers expect more than 200 community organizations, artists, and businesses to participate. Full programming details will be released closer to the festival date.
