O’Connor Group Elevates Longtime Executive as President in Leadership Shift

The O'Connor Group

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — The O’Connor Group said it has appointed Meghan Popoleo as president, formalizing a leadership transition as the human resources and consulting firm looks to drive growth while strengthening employee engagement and retention across its client base.

Popoleo will oversee strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations, while founder Marcia Zaruba O’Connor, who launched the firm in 2007, will continue as chief executive officer with a focus on long-term growth opportunities and expanded community impact.

Popoleo has spent the past decade at The O’Connor Group, advancing through a series of leadership roles and most recently serving as vice president of growth. In that role, she led sales, marketing, and client engagement efforts and helped shape the firm’s approach to outsourced human resources services across industries including life sciences, manufacturing, and professional services.

The firm said Popoleo has played a central role in expanding its service offerings and strengthening workplace culture initiatives designed to deliver measurable results for clients.

“I have been very fortunate to be on board with The O’Connor Group for the past decade, as we’ve advanced with the market to provide more comprehensive outsourced HR services,” Popoleo said. She credited O’Connor with identifying early demand for flexible HR and recruiting solutions that integrate closely with client operations.

Popoleo’s earlier career included experience with nonprofit organizations and private equity-backed, early-stage life sciences companies, providing exposure to a range of organizational models and growth environments.

She holds a bachelor of science degree from James Madison University and is active in community and professional organizations, including Bringing Hope Home, the Women’s Resource Center, Shadow Her, and the Forum of Executive Women.

O’Connor said the promotion reflects Popoleo’s role in anticipating client needs and positioning the firm for its next phase of growth. She said Popoleo brings both operational experience and a fresh perspective to the presidency.

As CEO, O’Connor said she will concentrate on developing new service offerings and affiliated companies aligned with the firm’s mission, while continuing her work through speaking engagements, board service, and leadership of Shadow Her, the nonprofit organization she founded to support women entrepreneurs.
